angel is the second cat we adopted, and despite her small size she's also the oldest! she had a litter of kittens while she was still pretty young, and the drain on her body from supporting her babies stunted her growth. as a result, she's only about the size of a one- or two-year-old cat, despite being six! that's why so many of the names we call her are about her being a baby or little. she's only a lil baby kitty, despite being a mama. we decided to get angel while watching fiddler on the roof. my mom and i started talking about adopting a second cat halfway through the movie, looked on the humane society website, and then went off. at the time, we lived in sandy, utah, and the humane society website had angel listed as being in salt lake city -- not an absolutely terrible drive, but maybe a bit much. but, when we got to our local shelter, there she was! plus, it was her last day in our city. it was fate!
